GREAT PERFORMANCES

The orchestra's participation in several television programs, in the events of La Mercè (Barcelona), in the Catalan Traditional and Popular Culture Congress closing party (which took place in Lloret in 1996), and the performances in street parties and special-event-rooms, manifests our musical quality. Along with our trajectory, it is necessary to point out our participation in events of outstanding musical performance as much as in Spain as in France, Portugal...

La SELVATANA has participated in important sardana's events like the concert which took place in the church of El Vendrell for the 50th anniversary of the Catalan playwrighter's death Àngel Guimerà in 1974; and the homage concert to Pau Casals that took place in the Catalan Music Palace. Furthermore, the concerts at Perpignan's Congresses Palace, the participation in several editions of the Girona's Delegation Music Concerts for Cobla, the Solsona's "Ciutat Pubilla de la sardana" in 1983, of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia 1984, of Santpedor 1987, of Flix 1989, of Martorell 1993, of Encamp (Andorra) 1995, of Cassà de la Selva 2000, and of Malgrat de Mar 2001.

On the other hand, SELVATANA was present in the 1992's olympiads in the Catalan Music Palace, the performance as a contribute to the 50th anniversary of the sardana's group from Ripoll 1996 with a concert in the Real Monastery of Sta. Maria and the recording of the commemorative CD, as well as the recording of the commemorative CD for the 10th anniversary of the Francesc Mas Ros' death in 1996; in the 1st and 2nd Catalan Popular and Traditional Culture Congress in 1982 and 1996; in the 3rd Great Concert of Peralada's castle in 1996; and in the concert at the Generalitat's Palace in October 1998 as a result of Sardana's Prizes Day.  SELVATANA also participates every year, since the beginning of its foundation, in the great Music party for Cobla that takes place in Banyoles.
